Siena has once again blown it out of the park with this book (or should I say rink
I received this book as an ARC. I would say it's a solid 3.75-4. I enjoyed Maddox as a character and loved the dynamic between him and Bristol. Some parts felt a little rushed and I actually hated the ending and the epilogue. There was no true resolution for either of their struggles. I forgave the fact Bristol's struggles were just over in a short time but Maddox should have had more time to grow and overcome his issues. I wanted to love it but it just didn't make it there for me. Also, if she was such a huge sports fan you're going to tell me she had no idea who he was even after she woke up sober. Unlikely.
Siena has done it again! I'm convinced she's figured out the secret equation for a hockey romance. This is the 4th of her books I've read, and I am addicted to the hockey romance world she's created - first in the Connecticut Comets series, and now with the Indy speed.
Book 1 of the Indy Speed series: Maddox + Bristol are the perfect combo for an age gap, one night stand, workplace romance.
In his mid-thirties, and out of his control, Maddox is up against the end of his career as a hockey player. He may not be able to play anymore, but he can coach.
Bristol accepts a job to report on the Indy Speed hockey team away from her hometown, and away from a 3 year situationship with an Fboy hockey player on a rival team.
There's a hot one night stand, followed by an awkward first day at the office. They have to figure out how to work together while trying to keep their hands to themselves.
The spice is steamy! Maddox loves to please and possess. Bristol is a brat and likes to push his buttons.
I can't wait for the next Indy Speed book!

In this book, we see Bristol run away across the country to join her bestie Dakota in Indianapolis and start her new job as in-house press for the Indy Speed Hockey team. I wanted so badly for Bristol to be swept off her feet and Siena Trap more than delivered. Maddox is in a different season of his life, from where we first met him in Bagging The Blueliner, and seeing how he was all in and devoted from the beginning was precious.
