there were parts i found meg kind of annoying (like still trying to have the party despite almost getting killed multiple times). i think the suspense was a lot better than the first book. i thought i had predicted it but so many twists, my god. i really liked this one and i thought for a ya horror book it was pretty damn good

I commend this book for misleading me. I believe I finished this in under two hours. I was kind of in a hurry because the girl main character was pissing me off with her adamance regarding the surprise party. I mean girl, it's just a party.

In the end I didn't really remember the story at all, all I remembered was the cover, which has been replaced in my Kindle version, and the title, lol.

Wow this was a wild ride. The ending went from one killer to another until we finally learned what really happened and it was amazing. I would have given 5 stars if I read this as a kid/teen but because it was a really quick book and not too much depth, I had to only give it 3 stars. Regardless of the rating, I still love all the books by R.L. Stine. I enjoyed seeing Cory Brooks featured in this book where we first met him in the first book of the series!

I was definitely not expecting that twist by the end! Probably one of the craziest twists R.L. Stine has come up with from any of his books that I read. But I bet there will be crazier ones once I continue on with this long-ass series.

this book was a good simple murder mystery. i liked it more than the new girl (fear street book #1) but it still wasn’t groundbreaking, which i did not expect it to be. i liked the character complexity that the new girl lacked, as well as the ending where we find out what happens. i really enjoyed reading this book which is why i rated it four stars, but it is not one of my new favs.
