I really enjoyed this contemporary romance novel. While I did see the movie prior, there were scenes in the book that I enjoyed reading that were not in the film. This book was very well written and had relatable characters as well as realistic storylines. So many times when you read a romantic contemporary they feel not realistic and forced. The same cannot be said for this novel, which felt real and genuine.

This book caught me off guard. I knew it was popular, I knew it was gonna be cute. It just resonated with me. I get the hype. I was laughing, tearing up, felt like I was gonna throw up, super anxious etc. The writing was good, the family dynamics was good, and the characters were good. The feelings it made me feel was what made the book for me, I just connected. Honestly I don’t even know what to say. It’s almost 2 o’clock in the morning and I just wanna start the second book because I need to know what happens next.

That's one cliffhanger of an ending and I'm really glad that there will be a sequel.

I always come back to these books, even as an adult. There's something nostalgic about them for me. Han is so great at writing Laura Jean. She's so relatable, even if you don't have everything in common with her life events. Even the side characters in this book are fleshed out and they feel so real. The sisterly relationships are heartwarming, and I didn't expect to feel such strong emotions at the end when Margot and Laura Jean have their heart-to-heart. I think To All the boys I've Loved Before is a positive and easy read. It makes you feel happy when you need it, and it reminds you have what it was like to be a teenager; the good and the bad.

I couldn't recommend this enough.
