I really don't care that I'm a 20 year old reading a middle grade book, this was one of my favourites growing up. jacqueline wilson writes her kids books specifically with slightly dark themes to reflect the unaverage circumstances many real kids live in, so it makes them still interesting enough for this YA

A great book about friendship which tells the stories of the not-so-perfect lives of these two girls in an honest and no-nonsense way that resonates with kids and adults alike.

Enjoyed reading this. A great examination of dysfunctional families and how children begin to try to create their own narratives.
