I enjoyed Elise and Axe's story and I'm anxious to read Novo and Peyton's as well. I just wish I cared more about the Mary/Rhage/Bitty story. I'm hoping that a Rhune/Saxton pairing is explored.

Ich liebe es. Noch immer kann ich nicht dieses dicke fette Grinsen aus meinem Gesicht bekommen. Einfach herlich!!! Was soll ich nicht großartig sagen? Ein Meisterwerk wie wir es eh von Misses Ward kennen. Der absolute Höhepunkt?!

Ein steckengebliebener Lassiter als Weihnachtsmann verkleidet im Kamin!!!!!

I enjoyed this one, but it didn't have a lot of action like some of the others.

(2.5 out of 5) I feel conflicted because I like the BDB books but they've started to be very jumbled and choppy (while well written). I don't feel like the main person/couple is ever the main focus of the books/novellas anymore. I love hearing and seeing multiple POVs to get updates on everyone else, but they need to be background plot. If you're expecting Blood Vow to be about Axe and Elise, don't. It's about 40% Axe and Elise and 60% Rhage, Mary and Bitty. Don't get me wrong, I love RMB but I didn't expect most of this novella to be about them. I want to move forward with the next books and hear about everyone - but with more focus on main person/couple - instead of circling the same plot issues we have for a few books now. I don't feel like the last two or three have any forward momentum. And I REALLY want to move on to Layla's story.

Meh. Looking for something different with the Legacy series and it was just more of the same old same old with Mary and Rhage. The lessers are barely even an afterthought for these supposed fighters in training. More like a high school romance drama. Did like the small glimpse of maybe a new relationship forming at the very end. Too bad we couldn't have more character development with Axe and Elise.
