OMG she did it again. Kandi Steiner has become one of my favorite author on ALL TIME I don’t know how she does it Vince was AMAZING loved Maven she was just someone I want to be friend with I loved her and Vince together. And the BANTER was everything. Let talk about the SPICE

Real rating is probably closer to 3 stars. But *spoiler* this book feels like the only one in the last five I’ve read without somebody being in a coma and/or somebody birthing twins. For that reason, I’m rounding up.

Irresistible chemistry!

The chemistry between Maven and Vince was hot enough to melt the ice rink, and I was hooked from the very first page. Their tension crackled with every interaction, making the push and pull between them utterly addictive.

I love a good forced proximity story, especially when it comes with a love/hate workplace dynamic, and this book delivered in the best way. The banter was sharp, the emotions ran deep, and the slow-burn build-up had me completely invested.

I couldn't put it down and immediately ordered the paperback for my shelf, so I can annotate my favorite parts the next time I devour the audiobook!

Kandi Steiner does it again!! Maven is a journalist who gets an assignment with the professional hockey team. She has to live in the same building and follow hockey player Vince. Who doesn't like an enemies to lovers trope? You get to see Vince's soft side and not to mention a Ghost moment in only his jersey? I mean come on it is amazing. Go check it out!

This did have a fun premise, but I didn't love their dynamic as much as it developped into an actual relationship. Maven also is a pretty boring character and her pov didn't keep me engaged throughout the book.
