Kandi, oh Kandi... There is something about Kandi Steiner's writing style that captures you, no matter in what kind of field she dips her feet.
Meet Your Match is Kandi's first hockey romance, and once again she nailed it with all the feels.

This book is a perfect combination of funny banter, heartbreak and nice dose of spice.
Meet Your Match made me smile, laugh and had moments that brought tears to the eyes.

Maven and Vince's chemistry is off-the-charts HOT. And both characters, their development, how they grew together as friends and as a couple, it all conquered my heart so easily.
Can't wait to continue this series!

I already know this is going to be my favorite hockey series. Kandi wtf did you put in this book?? I literally need all the characters books ASAP. And then Vince and Maven?? You’re kidding!! The tension between them was so good and I adored getting to see bits of their future. I can’t wait to get glimpses of them in the other books. The spice was SPICIN and you just ruined every other hockey romance for me in the best way possible

Kandi Steiner really is the queen of sports romance and she never disappoints. 🫶🏼
This book was too good! 😭 I both couldn’t put it down and didn’t want it to end, I just couldn’t get enough of Vince and Maven 💗

The banter, the angst, the tension in this book are surreal 😮‍💨 And the heat? Let’s just say you better have the AC on at its fullest capacity 🌶️

Maven and Vince are so different yet they complement each other so well.
I love Maven’s personality and how feisty she is. Her comebacks at Vince and their bickering were so fun to watch 🤭

Vince is just 😮‍💨 easily gets his spot in “book boyfriend” category.

I’m SO excited for future books in this series, especially the next one 🙈 I just feel I’ll adore the next couple very much. ❤️

"He was stoic and severe, the kind of man who exuded power without ever having to say a single word." -Maven

"Still, she was a striking little brat, and something about the way she razzed me made me want to bend her over my knee and spank an apology right out of her sweet ass." -Vince

"I tried not to let it impact my breathing, how confidently he held me, how proudly. He pulled me through that crowd like I belonged to him." -Maven

"Maven was a sexual awakening if I ever did see one." -Vince

"Vince Tanev was on his fucking knees for me. There was no thought more erotic than that one." -Maven

This was my first Kandi Steiner book, one that's been on my TBR for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally got around to reading it. I enjoyed this book a lot. It was nice to see a strong, independent woman like Maven speak her mind and live her life the way she wanted without fear. Sure, it took a lot for her to get there (including a hard breakup) but she got there eventually and wasn't afraid to speak her mind with Vince. And, trust me, Vince was into it. It intrigued him more when he met Maven and she was willing to speak her mind, even though most people would be more hesitant around him because he was a famous NHL rookie. But not Maven King! Maven was speaking her mind and telling Vince off the very first time they met, and even after they started working together, Maven was always willing to go head-to-head with Vince. But, Vince didn't hold back either. He wasn't mean, either, he was just always ready and willing for a good verbal sparring match with Maven. Their banter was great, but I also liked Vince's banter with his teammates. One thing I enjoy so much about hockey romances (and any sports romance, really) is the band of brothers aspect that comes with the teammates. They're always bantering with each other and razzing each other, but they also support each other wholeheartedly and I love watching it. It was nice to see the team fully accept Maven into the fold, too, after she started working and traveling with the team. Watching the push and pull between Maven and Vince made me want to yell at them both often (seriously, just kiss already, we all know you both want to!) but I liked watching their journey to get there, too. All in all, this was such a great book and a great start to the series, and I can't wait to see what Jaxson gets up to in his book next!

DID NOT FINISH: 60%

The has been sitting in my KU for MONTHS. I just wasn’t really interested, and then kept telling myself I’d go back and finish it, but I never did.
