When I tell you that I devoured this book, I mean it. I pretty much finished it in one sitting and downloaded the sequel so fast (and anxiously awaiting the next!).
The main storyline is that Maven King, a social media reporter/content creator, is assigned to have exclusive 24/7 access to the Tampa Ospreys newest rookie, Vince Tanev. She has already pegged him as a selfish and conceited jock and immediately despises him. However, it seems that Vince immediately falls for her despite her outspoken disdain for him. As the story unfolds, we learn there is more to Tanev than what’s shown on the surface as well as the real reason why Maven is so hesitant to let herself be vulnerable with him.
I was living for the intense chemistry between Maven and Vince, and swooned over Tanny Boy as his character fully develops. Also, please give me all of the team and locker room banter!
This story is perfect for those looking for a steamy romance with a hot, pottery making hockey player and a fiery social media reporter.

Vince is a pro hockey player and Maven is a content creator for social media. She gets the task of giving the fans what they want to see of hockey's hottest rookie, so Maven is assigned to follow him around 24/7 for an entire month. Instantly, Vince sees Maven as a challenge, being that he's also hockey's biggest playboy, but she won't even give him the time of day. The challenge, he sees, is breaking down her walls and he has no problems doing so.
Maven hates athlete's ever since she had a bad relationship with one, so in the process of being around Vince, she decides that she's going to do whatever it takes to not fall for his silly antics. But like every good romance story, forced proximity, and all, of course she winds up falling for him. She's the grumpy to his sunshine and he is full of golden retriever energy and such a fun read. Would definitely recommend and you won't be disappointed by the fun-spirited writing that Kandi always delivers.

This was so so good!!! I was so excited for Kandi's pro-hockey series and this was the perfect start! Opposites attract, forced proximity, he falls first, his hobby is pottery... need I say more?!
Vince and Maven are amazing! From the moment they meet, you can feel the sizzling attraction between them, which increases with every interaction until they burn together! 🔥
I loved how they get to know one another and fall in love. There's so much depth to these characters and I loved how they learnt to trust and open themselves to the other. They were so soft together and you could really feel all the love and emotions the characters were going through.

Meet Your Match follows hockey rookie hotshot, Vince Tanev, and Maven King, the newest member of an up-and-coming digital magazine. She is tasked with following Vince for a month and posting all-access content to Instagram. Maven is completely anti-rich boy/anti-athlete because she had a really bad experience with her golfer ex-boyfriend, but Vince is so different. Only, the feelings Maven feels for Vince felt a whole lot like what she felt for her ex-bf and she doesn't think like she can trust her own judgment. Vince is a playboy, but when he falls for Maven he falls hard -- and fast! This book is really cute - I love how Maven fits in with the hockey team, I love that Vince is so real and funny.
Now for the narrators - Edward Black and Megan Wicks are new narrators to me but I'm here for it! They were great. Edward hit the emotional peaks and valleys and Megan had that soft sultry voice down pat, but her BFF voice was strong and gritty - it was perfect!

When I saw that Kandi Steiner had a hockey romance, I knew I was in for it. Her writing is incomparable when it comes to the angst and chemistry. I was so obsessed from the very first chapter to the last.
The idea of Maven having 24/7 access to the hot new hockey player just SCREAMED like paradise. A dream come true honestly.
