I wanted to like this book soooo bad. And there were aspects of it that I really enjoyed BUT I ultimately pushed myself to finish it.
I felt like it was too long and there was so much filler and felt has been done a million times and didn’t really have anything different.
With that being said, I love a good reformed bad boy story. The banter was really good, I love how she didn’t let him get away with anything. The spice was really good, it felt like a slow slow sloooow burn but kept you intrigued at the same time. Their story was really cute.

I absolutely loved this one! Hockey romance is a favourite of mine and this was such a good one. It actually had hockey games in it which was nice. Maven was such a quick witted, feisty girl and I loved her so much. Their banter was so funny, she always had a comeback and I absolutely loved it😂 Them trying to make each other jealous, the heated moments, the scene in his pottery room 👀🤭❤️🔥 I’m excited for book 2!!!

Even though these two were on the younger side of what I prefer to read, they weren't annoying and immature. I definitely appreciated that. I can't wait to get to the next book, I think I'm going to enjoy reading about all of these characters in this series.

I'm upset. I usually enjoy this author more. The OW drama for jealousy was gross. The way they couldn't just TALK was super annoying and drawn out. The 'chase' in this case was not cute... maybe if it was a college setting, not pro? Even then there was still something missing for me. There were some things I liked about the story, but it was overshawdowd by my annoyance. Didn't hit. Wanted it to be over. Being gracious with 2 stars.
