The first two books in this series were wonderful. This third book, which focuses on different characters, really wasn't all that great to me.
I had trouble getting into the story. There was so much focus on Ben being out of control and not eating or sleeping that we really lose focus on the plot line. Then, all of a sudden we go from zero to sixty and Ben is sleeping with Dante and they don't want to be in a relationship but they are and they can't save each other but they're trying anyway, and I spent a lot of time skimming, to be honest.
I was really looking forward to Ben's story, but this just didn't do much for me.

Ben intrigued me from the previous books but I didn’t expect to get his book but wow am I ever glad we did.

This book is shocking and sad and heart breaking.

We learn so much more about Ben and what he is going through. I will say seeing him broken throughout most of the book really got to me. I wanted him to get better and when it just gets worse and worse for him even when he finds Dante. Well I just didn’t know how he was going to heal.

And Dante has his own past he is dealing with. These two help and enable each other.

The revolution that comes, it will break your heart but what happens after heals it.

Incredible series, fabulous writing with an exquisite narration of Jack DuPont. Highly recommend.

definitely the most fucked up book in the series, and thats saying a lot. It was great but the romance part lacked for me. We explored their trauma more and that was fine but wow, instead of screaming about their romance, I just cried at the things that Ben and Dante had to go through, especially Ben. This series fucked me up. Def a recommend.

ALSO CAN I JUST SCREAM ABOUT HOW RILEY HART USED SEX. DAMN, this author can WRITE. like, the sex from Tristan, Josiah, and Mateo's story to Dante and Ben's story ruined sex for me in the sense that I just know no other story can ever use sex and make me feel this way ever again. UGH I JUST!!! absolutely amazing. This series is amazing.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I'd give 5 stars on some parts but had to rate down for others. There are times I want to put this down but still intrigued enough to go on. In the end, I love Ben and Dante. Ben deserves all the happiness.

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!

I honestly didn't like how the story resorted to having Mateo kill Ben's dad. It just didn't sit right with me. Even though Mateo's been pushing this agenda of revenge for Ben and the Congressman's victims, his death could've went another route, though the motherfucker deserved to die. And yet, if it was me, I wouldn't have wanted another blood spilling Teo's hand. We saw him suffer enough from the implications of his past actions as a gang member so I didn't see the point why he had to claim a life again this time. There could've been another way. And then that's it? I knew it would deviate from the story but there could've been investigations or something. I'd be worried for Mateo. He just killed a big rig out there.

Anywayyy... they all ended up happy. And that's what we all want. Overall, even though not as much as the previous books, still love this.

I switched between the audiobook and ebook. This was a 2.5 star read for me. I'm a fan of Ms. Hart's work and after reading the first 2 books in this series I was very excited for Ben to get his HEA but this one just didn't work for me. The middle of the book dragged with the same thing over and over and the ending felt rushed.

I was happy to find Ben's book, but was not crazy with his story. He was very broken. I also was not crazy with how a major conflict was resolved, it left me viewing characters I once loved in a different light. This is a 2.5 rating
