Cute and fun - a story to help show kindness matters and that being compassionate keeps the mean spirit (and in this book quite literally spirit) away. The more space bear pushes away from others because of their differences and not understanding each other while also getting upset over lost items, the more the ghostly creatures (that portray meanness or anger) come to life and can harm us all. The spirits take on the form of the person feeling them and can knock us down, but if we can take a more understanding route they will disappear.
