I loved all the main characters in this book. I didn't realize the book was essentially a mystery when I started it. But the fact that you are told at the beginning that someone dies keeps you reading and draws you into these character's lives. I was mostly interested in Celeste and the domestic violence she endures. The author seems to capture the reality of her situation so well without making it a soap opera. I loved this book, it's message and its author.

I didn't see the end coming. Moriarty does a great job of propelling the story forward without giving away the ending.
