I honestly found Lucy’s inferiority complex to be super annoying. I’m glad she learned to stand up for herself (and others) but it was frustrating that she learned how to from the person who made her feel that way to begin with. Also, why are we still romanticizing abuse? Emotional abuse to hide one’s true emotions because they are emotionally immature is still abuse. She literally couldn’t believe she was beautiful because of this man and suddenly years of hurtful banter is all fixed by roses? 

The only time I liked Lucy was when she

stood up to Josh’s father at the breakfast after the wedding

Enemies to Lovers is hit or miss I guess. For me, this was a miss.

This book was just so freaking cute I couldn’t stand it. I am a SUCKER for banter and this book delivers it in spades. There were times I thought it took a little too long to get to the point, but it paid off in the end.
