This book was a huge disappointment after the last 3 which were fantastic.
The new kidnapping was unnecessary and really upset me. I almost stopped reading at that point. I still wish I did. I mostly skimmed through and hope that the next book is better.

So many points of view, I get lost and confused. This was worthless. Some authors have successfully written additional stories in separate books to show other stories, but to put all these in one book is confusing. Ark’s story could have been his own book and more successful.

I feel that Caina is losing her edge. Why all of a sudden is she tired of killing? No. This idea is weak and not her at all. She is strong and does what needs to be done. Giving her doubts and weaknesses is unacceptable. Again, if this continues, she is not the heroine I started reading this series for.

Really? Possession? Did we really have to go there? I mean, is the author out of ideas that he must give the main character an internal struggle and fight?

WAAR!

This was a huge mix of fighting styles as well as following the adventures of three sides. I found it great fun to read but could do with the viewpoints being separated by a line before speaking as sometimes I struggled to determine that the characters had changed, it made it harder to read. I love seeing how Caina has changed but would love to see more of her changes not just her fighting skills.

I stoped somewhere in the beginning and contemplated to not finish this book, but in the end it was really nice and I liked it. I listened to the audiobook and had boring work to do, that’s why I gave it a second try, but I’m glad I did.
