Ik kan een hele lange recensie schrijven, maar eigenlijk heeft Evelyn de perfecte aanbeveling van dit boek in 1 zin weten te krijgen. Hij staat voor op het boek en ik ben het niet vaak ergens ZO roerend mee eens geweest.

Billie is een inspirerend personage. Hij doet het toch maar allemaal, maar zonder de bravoure. Hij voelt heel echt, met zijn emoties en onzekerheden en hoe hij met dingen omgaat. (Ik maak ook graag lijstjes.)

I know I’m not the main demographic, but everyone needs to read this book. Funny, witty, and made me cry, tackling the many issues of growing up whilst also bringing light to the issues of dealing with a stammer. An absolutely beautiful book that needs to be read by teachers, kids and even parents, whether they know someone with a stammer or not.
