I love this post apocalyptic monster world that Lily Mayne has created. The Rycke is the third book in the series and is my favorite book and couple so far. I honestly didn't think I would like anyone as much as Wyn and Danny from the first one, but here we are. I really enjoyed seeing life inside a trader camp and having a main character that wasn't in the military this time around. I am excited to read the other books in this series.

Another good installment in this series! I liked that we got some different stuff in this book than the previous ones, with a non-military MC and a raider home base (though still with some traveling scenes, of course!). Ghost was a lovely MC that I sympathized a lot with, and I loved that Aury was both very sweet and very monstrous. A perfect balance. I liked the side characters in this book too, and especially look forward to seeing more of Rig and Moth in future books.

This series is devourable, but, honestly, this one was the best so far. It deviated from the possessive/jealous tropes of the first two (I was starting to worry they'd all be like that 🙃), I enjoyed the characters, and the plot was well done (such clean tie ins across books, my biggest compliment for this series so far).

Definitely felt like the Monstrous Series took off in this book. Everything I’d wanted more of (evil military, freakier monsters, found family) was ramped up a notch. I rooted for Ghost and Aury so much by the end.

There was a ton of delicious pining which, of course, bore sopping fruit in the best way. I also loved how much camaraderie there was among the human raiders, and the aborted love affair between Ghost and Moth was a great touch.

Give me MORE possessive monster freakouts, please, especially when paired with a genuine effort by both main characters to get that jealousy under control.

Thanks to Mayne, I was hungry for the third book by the end of The Rycke. Like she hooked me so bad!

OMG I LOVED THISONE SO MUCH!!!

I love Aury who is such a precious baby angel and deserves all the love in the world!!

The growth of their relationship was so beautiful and perfectly paced and ugh they were so lovely. My favorite couple/story yet!!

I hope we get to hear more about them in later stories because I would love love a check in with them!

Somewhere around a3.5. I didn’t enjoy the romance so much. And ghost was a bit of a mixed bag ito double standards and anxiety. But the ending was sweet

so good I love ghost and aury SO MUCH THEY ARE SO CUTE. Ghost has dark blue hair and pale blue eyes. the torture scenes r intense but it’s still good

“After a moment, One’s face broke into a huge, beautiful grin, and I knew that was it. I was utterly smitten. Totally, one hundred percent gone for this strange, winged monster with creepy black eyes and ghostly, green-tinged skin.”

Someone wrap these two in a soft, warm, fuzzy blanket and never let them go. They are precious and I love them.

Definitely my favorite so far! If there’s one thing I love, it is docile/timid men
