4 stars on my Enid Blyton Famous Five scale!
Rereading all of these. It may be the original, but I suspect it's not the best of the lot. Lots of exciting (but slightly ridiculous) goings-on.

This book is one of the earliest ones I remember ever reading. I remember it was a big fuss among my friends everyone reading it and talking about it. It was a calm nostalgic trip down my memory lane reading it all over again. It was more enjoyable because of the nostalgia it bought with it. An excellent start to the series I had been in love with as far as I could remember. It's a rather simple and short read. It would be perfect for kids and maybe better for grown-ups who would like to feel nostalgic.

I haven’t read this in nearly 20 years but it still holds up honestly. Very nostalgic and made me feel weird. But it was a good adventure. I couldn’t remember what happened so stakes were high

Children plus dog explore the island in the cove where one of them lives and look for treasure.

Pure nostalgia with the book which is my earliest memory of owning a book. Read in memory of my uncle who gave it to me and who died last week.
