Author's herb repertoire is repetitive: all thyme and rosemary. However, the coconut concentrate is brilliant. Many of the recipes are very good, though sometimes you can really tell that the author isn't an experienced cook.

I use this cookbook quite often. It's a really good tool for people navigating the world of i-can't-eat-this-without-feeling-sick. It's a rough place and to be honest dealing with food allergies has been frustration-land and have caused many a tantrum on my end. I think these recipes are simple and make for great meals.

I loved that there were so many photos of the recipes in this book! That's very important in a cookbook.

I tried a couple of the recipes in this book and wasn't blown away. Several of the recipes (or variations of them) are also available on the Autoimmune Paleo website.

I didn't like how so many of the recipes called for coconut products; in particular, another recipe in her book for "coconut concentrate" is a staple in many of her recipes. While I understand the need to have a few staple products when doing a diet like the Autoimmune Protocol, it would have been nice to just have items I could purchase, rather than to have a 2- or 3-step process that I have to start a week ahead of time (e.g. make recipe 1, which is used in recipe 2, which I need for recipe 3, the actual meal I want to eat).

To be honest, I quit reading it and didn't feel like finishing it.

Great recipes in here for people with an autoimmune condition. I could live off the date macaroons and check out the lamb meatball recipe too ... reassuring to have such yummy recipes, when trying to eat by such a restricted diet. Great photography, easy to follow recipes.

This book arrived around 4pm today; I had time to run some already-planned errands and still be eating one of the tasty recipes (coconut crusted cod, although I skipped the mango salsa and just served it on a bed of watercress instead) before 6pm. For me, one of the best features of this book appears to be the two sets of four-week meal plans with shopping lists and tips on batch cooking. Less relevant: it's a beautiful book and for some reason the copy I got smells like linseed oil, filling me with nostalgia for Mrs. Francoeur's oil painting lessons... :-)

The writing is clear, lovely, and error-free (as far as I can tell), the pictures are stunning and inspire mouth watering, and the recipes look amazing. I'm neither strictly paleo (nowhere close) nor do I need to autoimmune yet, but I recognize from personal experience that eating the way this book advocates makes me feel better - more even mood and temper, better energy, less mucousy all around.

I only bought this 3 days ago but I've already made 3 recipes from this book! For someone who is 'OK' in the kitchen but doesn't enjoy it a lot, there are recipes in here that are easy to follow and tasty as well. While I'm not fully AIP, I find following a close to AIP diet has helped with managing my psoriasis. I'm looking forward to trying out more of these recipes.

PS a lot of these recipes are on Mickey's blog but I still find it handy having the book on hand.

Really well done with lots of great info without going into unnecessary detail. Also written with the understanding of budgetary and time limitations which I feel a lot of similar cookbooks tend to neglect. It makes this kind of diet look manageable and not so overwhelming. It would have been nice to have a few more on-the-go snack ideas included.

A game changer- this is the book I have been waiting for! I can't wait to make every single recipe.
