An interesting concept for an easy picture book. You read it forwards first and it tells a story of kids being mean to "the new kid." Then you read it backwards and it tells a story of the kids welcoming the new student.

Even though the story itself doesn't have much depth (which picture books especially don't always need) the format itself is really interesting! Rather than just being two separate books/stories, this book challenges readers to literally flip the book at the halfway point to continue the story.
