I was so thrilled to receive an advanced copy of this new thriller by Lisa Gardner. It was spectacular. I'm an avid mystery reader and I tend to be able to figure out many mysteries before they end. With this one, I was on the edge of my seat until the end. I'll be reviewing this book on my blog later in December but let me just say here, this is worth the read!

No ha estado nada mal. Mucha tensión de principio a fin, qué ganas de leer la tercera parte!

Guessed the ending quickly, still decent though

This was the first book I have read by Lisa Gardner. Excellent thriller, but maybe I have read too many of these, as I figured it out over half way through. Seemingly normal family, but every family has there secrets. This family is no different. To bad many of the "secrets" were the normal cliches. Cheating husband, pill addicted mother, sexually active teenager. I am not saying that I don't enjoy the book, just looking for a little originality. Easy read, and will definatly read more by this author.

I had very mixed feelings about this novel.

On the one hand, it was compelling enough to drive me onwards, but on the other there was very little progression until the last third when it all seemed to come in one long rush.
Some of the 'twists' I had already guessed way way before we even had a sniff which took some of the "oooh" out of the book.

I really liked it as usual with her books! But I was able to predict more in this one than I ever have in any of her previous books. But excited for the next book!

Quick page turner (what's the audible equivalent?) perfect for a long drive along across CA. It kept me going and I liked a couple of the twists at the end.

Her novels are fun and you're probably likely to forget the plot within a week but they are good entertainment. This one involves a family that is kidnapped, and goes back and forth between them and the cops trying to find them. One of those stories where everyone has a secret and a motive, so there are lots of good red herrings floating around.

This was detailed and a very slow read. Not one of her better books in my opinion.
