Good pace. Loved the end.

Good tense story, but pretty obvious who was running the show.

Justin Danby, owner of a big construction company, and his wife and daughter are kidnapped one evening. Tessa Leoni is hired by Danby Construction to investigate the kidnapping. As she investigates, she finds out each of the Danby members have a secret. There seems to be no leads to who's been hiding the kidnapping. Members of the construction board come under suspicion. The kidnappers are professional and probably have a military background.

Lisa Gardner once again does a great job of developing the story, holding the reader at bay until the very end. I loved this book.

Review to come

A good page turner. Sort of figured out the twist, but enjoyed the execution anyways.

A very suspenseful book.

3.5*

This was another classic Gardner nail-biter. I was hooked from beginning to end, the characters were endearing and realistic, and I was creeped out the whole time. Didn’t see the plot twist coming until a few pages before, loved it!

4.5 nice finish.

I never really read thrillers so it felt good to switch things up a bit!

Overall really enjoyed this book - the cliff hangers got me hooked. Gotta say tho, I predicted the ending within the first half of the book. Still was a great thriller and definitely made me want to read more!
