I enjoyed the first one in the series better. There was barely any plot here and I still don't care much for Gemme. The only character I'm somewhat interested in is Harper, her older sister. At least it was a fast read.

I enjoyed this one way more than the first. Hopefully the next one is faster paced.

Daniel was just as good (if not better) in this installment! That part at the end with Penn- oh my gosh it was AMAZING. The awkward romance between Harper and him did not dissapoint, and was equally hilarious. I was so glad when they finally DID get together.
Oh, Alex and Gemma were good, too...but Daniel, guys.
DANIEL.
Now i get to cry in the next two when Penn makes moves on him.
*hates love triangles with sirens intervening perf relationships*

I read the book Wake (the first book in the Watersong series) a few months ago and really loved it. It was packed with twists and turns, things being discovered, and lots of action.
The second book didn't have as much action but I think it's a very good transition book to book #3. I've been finding that to be the case with YA Trilogies lately. Book one is usually action packed, book two a lot of transition happens and book three is back to action. Can't wait to read what happens!

Compared to the first book, this book was a bore. Not much happened aside from characters sitting around wondering how to break the siren's curse. The sirens themselves seemed much more one-dimensional than they did in Wake, leaving for boring villians in a boring story. The author also did too much of telling, not showing, what was going on, something I didn't notice happening in the first book. Hopefully book three, Tidal, can save the letdowns from Lullaby before I'm forced to give up the series altogether.

I love everything Amanda Hocking writes and this was no exception. I was very leary about this series because it is about Sirens and everything I know about Sirens is not good, but her books make you want to read till the end. I can't wait till the rest of the series comes out!

This book definitely dragged more than the first in terms of plot and character development. For me this was a weaker book than Wake. While I have still given it the same rating as Wake, it was a let down overall. I still absolutely love Amanda Hocking's writing and love the way she pulls me into a story and keeps me hooked.
I enjoyed the added information about Sirens in this installment. I also continued to appreciate the dual perspectives between Harper and Gemma, this helped show both sides of the story as it unfolded. As for the actual plot, I feel like absolutely nothing was accomplished. I now have even more questions and received no answers about what the long term outcome is.
It also appears as if Gemma and Harper cannot both be happy with their guys at the same time. I know what endgame is though so I'm not super concerned. Having said that, I really hope we do not get another one of those annoying love triangles.
I do plan to continue on with the series by reading Tidal, it just isn't high on my list at the moment.

This series is ok… but even after two books now I’m not really into it. This book was ultimately not helpful in the storyline. After so much build up in the first book, this was honestly a dud.

Can't just end like that?! I wasn't ready to stop reading??? :-(
I did really like the changing POV's, and the connection between Harper and Daniel.
