So I reread my name is Lucy Barton before reading this one. Where Lucy Barton was subtle, this was filled with immense, powerful feelings. Where there was ambiguity in Lucy Barton, the details were painfully spelled out here. Both books were so wrought with feeling and nuances that come with those feelings. Seriously, it was like watching a rug slowly unfurl in Timothy‘s chapter, or Charlie story in Anything is Possible. But resilience and hope come through as clear as pain and anguish. How this author can absolutely, deftly take you through these peoples lives and evolution and pure motion is a marvel. This book will sit with me for a while. Wow.
