I liked this book, and that the author toned down the constant use of the nicknames, it made it FAR easier to read, and a lot of the new characters were enjoyable, but there was a lot of reusing sentences and some parts contradicted themselves "My hair was up" but "he had to move my hair to the side" small things like that - the part that bothered me the most is posted at the bottom as a spoiler.

Plot: 7.8/10 - there were parts that surprised me, but some of the plot just made me a little frustrated.

Spice: 9/10 - there wasn't a lot of spice, but when there was it was good!

Overall: 8/10

Okay so the things that bothered me is:
-When one female character is riddled silly with power, don't get me wrong I like a female with power, but I feel like it was over done a little until the end then it balanced more, but other female characters should have been a wee more empowered.
-Why wouldn't she have just unalived Mab?!? That made zero sense, why go for a hand when she could have gone for the head?!
-The Mab vs. Estrella was just off, Mab is supposed to be this very powerful queen of everything that everyone is afraid of, and is centuries old, why is she showing every emotion on her face? And why is she bathing with her enemy? The dynamics just seemed way off and misplaced, unless there is some reason coming up in the next book to explain that a little more.

This series just gets better and better. I don't have anything bad to say about this series. Other than I have to wait until October for the next book. This series has definately made its way into one of my all time favorite series. I will definately be recommending this to anyone who wants more Sarah Maas, Elise Kova, or Jennifer Armentrout.

This one was good and I enjoyed it, though I still think out of the three books number two is by far the strongest in terms of plot and my overall engagement. I am invested though in what is unfolding and I'm loving the fact that our fated Fae mates are now both on the same page in regards to what they feel. I still think the romance is swoon-worthy and the spice between Estrella and Caldris seriously smoking.

This turned up the dial on the darkness and Mab is truly terrifying and pure evil. The action in this third instalment was non-stop and the pace was fast. Estrella is growing into her new skin and has shed a lot of the humanity that was holding her back, but she is still herself just a scarier version of it, she has also finally realised that when it comes to her mate all else can burn which is exactly how Caldris feels about her.

I do wish they could have caught more of a break though as the torture and mistreatment both faced regularly at the hands of Mab was relentless and getting somewhat old. I now want them to stamp her out of existence and I'm looking forward to the moment she finally gets her just reward it will be sweetly satisfying.

We left this on another pivotal point and I will definitely be picking up book four as soon as it releases in April, I already have it on preorder. I recommend this series for all those who like spicy romantasy.

Don't even care enough to finish the series, however long it may be.
