I've been a fan of Sariah's for a few years. I know I can count on her for some lighthearted and fun reading. Sariah is one of my favorite authors to recommend when anyone asks in regards to kindle unlimited or closed door romance. Roommaid did not disappoint.
Madison is cut off from her family's support and wealth when she insists on a career in education rather than joining the ranks of their family business. She's couch crashing and needs to find a way to get on her own two feet. With the help of her black sheep aunt, she meets Tyler and agrees to be his roommate in exchange for housekeeping, aka his roommaid.
Forced proximity is one of my favorite tropes. There's just something fun about the MC and hero having to share and navigate a common space.

A ton of people didn’t love this, but I did. Madison is trying to land on her feet after defying her parents and going to school to become a teacher. They cut her off, and she loses her whole trust fund in the process. I’d have taken the money and a business degree TBH. Her aunt takes her around to find places to live so she can stop couch surfing, except every place has mold, mildew, or had someone murdered in it. Eventually she remembers that an acquaintance was looking for a roommate who would watch his dog and clean the house in exchange for free rent. In walks Tyler. He’s looking to get ahead at his job, but travels a ton for work. He’s tired of leaving his dog with strangers and wants someone who could be there with her full time while he’s traveling the world. Tyler makes it clear he’s not looking for a relationship since he had to take out a restraining order on his last roommate. Tyler and Madison are great as friends and I loved watching them learn from one another. There were so many laugh out loud moments in this book, but also lots of frustrating parts in relation to their family dynamics.

Had the potential to be a really cute story (I’m mostly referencing the anxious dog) but I couldn’t read another word about how good looking Tony(? I actually don’t remember his name) is. It was nonstop.
I did laugh a few times in the parts I was able to get through, but I wasn’t willing to risk the characters remaining as shallow as they were for the rest of the book.

It was the perfect rom com wrapped up in a book. Predictable but made you feel good.
Completely unbelievable storyline with eh characters and I loved it! A different kind of easy to read romance plot, again totally unbelievable, but there’s a rescue dog, some cute scenes, and I enjoyed it.
Cute and funny, perfect for a plane or the beach. I thought the ending was a little quick, but I really enjoyed it.
I'll write a big review for the blog later, whenever the crisis at work has been vanquished. For now, let me just say this book was so sickeningly sweet. It was nauseatingly adorable. EXACTLY what I wanted. Exactly what I needed.
This story was exactly what I needed today. A light love story, with good characters and a pup.
