I was worried this book was going to be a cringy but I was wrong! This book was a really cozy, cute, fast paced holiday romance book that left me smiling! Best way to describe it would be a hallmark movie on steroids! It has romance, friendship, myths and magic! Perfect for a quick holiday read!!

“When I first saw you in the pub, my entire world shifted, and then righted once more. You were like a hurricane, knocking my ship off course, only to discover that maybe you set me in the right direction all along.”

Magic. The magic in Loren Brae is in full force in this terrific holiday story. Steamy, too.

📖 West decides to take a break from professor life, and takes a Christmas trip to Scotland to visit with a friend. When he sets eyes on local, Maisie, in a pub, it’s love at first sight. As he tries to woo her and help with the local book festival, they both soon learn that the mythical tales of Loren Brae are more real than they could have imagined.

💭This was a super fun read. This is actually the third book in a series. I haven’t read the first two books, but I liked this one so much, I’ll definitely go back and read the series from the start. There were a couple times I was a little confused on backstory, but I was still able to follow along with the story. I loved the small town and all the mythical elements. The characters were great too. There were moments I was laughing out loud at some of the dialogue. The Book Bitches were the best 🤣. If you like romance with a side of magic, I recommend giving this book a try!

I adored this one especially with the unicorn mythology and the way the town came together over the holiday. I loved Maisie finally giving into the belief of magic of her town. The way Weston's described his love of books and reading I have never felt so seen.
