A sweet little book and a lovely way to end the year. Each installation in this series is like a warm hug after a good cry - sad but cathartic, and means you can move on better for it. I enjoyed the occasional shift to first person as it made the stories seem less repetitive. A good variety of characters, and the second story was my favourite!

Much of Japanese culture is what is not said. This book uses time travel to wonder how it might be if they were said.

While the fourth installment of this series didn't resonate with me as much as the first three, it was sure great to be back at the coffee shop! This one felt a bit rushed/shortened because there weren't any side storylines with regulars in the shop or the owners. One of those rare times I feel a book should have actually been a bit longer! Definitely a comforting and magical series. I especially liked 'The Daughter' storyline.

This entire series is fantastic. I read all four books in about 21 days. Recommend for anyone who likes magical realism, or books that tug at your heart strings just a little, but aren't Nicholas Sparks / Kristin Hannah level.

It was so lovely to return to Tokyo and meet some new characters. The last story was particularly powerful.
