Since first reading the synopsis of The Pool Boy, I was eager to get this story. I really enjoy age gap romances and this one was without a doubt a very delicious one. If I’m not mistaken, it was my first time where the heroine is older than the hero and it felt refreshing to me. Nikki Sloane achieved to bring the right balance between steamy hot and emotional with this story.
Erika and Troy’s relationship was so amazing. Their stolen moments were sinfully hot, but also the way they connected so easily through their passion for music was beautiful. Every single moment between them, I felt their romance wasn’t only something physical, but ran deeper! In spite of their age difference, they brought something special to each other.
The fact Troy was Erika’s best friend’s son added a little bit of taboo to this already forbidden love story. I enjoyed this story a lot and I’m now intrigued about the first novel in the Nashville Neighborhood Series, The Doctor, that I hadn’t previously read. I’ll certainly check it out soon!

This reverse age gap, workplace, best friends son story was really good. Super forbidden.
The sneaking around was top notch. The smut was great. The story even had a solid plot line. So I was interested in how the characters lives played out.
Liked the fact that her Ex caught her stuffed in the back same as she caught him. Haha that was great.
Sad that the mom came around. It was too happy at the end. Was hoping for a bit of unresolved angst but it didn't deter from the story at all.
