It’s an age gap/forbidden romance AND that’s my catnip!
I liked that the characters didn’t play games and were not overly dramatic or immature. Both were relatable and likable.
There were other issues each character was dealing with that added depth to this steamy, super hot romance!
The chemistry is great and the sexy times were written really well in my opinion. Sizzling!!
I really loved the flow and the characters are really likable.
Both hot and emotional, it was a very satisfying and entertaining story.
Great story!!

i wish i could get into this series but i really can’t. there’s just something about it that isn’t clicking for me.

this was miles better than the first book. i preferred the characters and the story and i was rooting for the relationship more. the smut is great. but it also feels like a bang average story (as did book 1).

i did finish it (mainly because i did actually like Erika and Troy) even though it was starting to feel like a slog halfway through. i think i could’ve easily dnfed.

it’s fine as a book and as a series, but there’s nothing extra that’s capturing my interest unfortunately.

I thought this reverse age gap, forbidden romance was so good. She falls for her best friends son. 🫣 But it was so good, and the end 🥹🥹🥰🥰 So sweet!

so much fun

This book was surprisingly very good. I enjoyed every bit of it and the audio version was great. I would rate it a 4.5 star if I had that option.

A steamy, summer romance! Troy and Erika lit the pages on fire, they were so hot that I needed to kick up the air conditioning just to cool off!

The Pool Boy is not only a smexy, delicious read, it is a story about who is really in your court when the going get tough. It's also a story that is more than a hot, steamy dip in the pool....with a boy. It's about believing in your dreams, and not only that, but finding the courage, faith and trust to go after them especially after being crushed by your hopes in the past.

Erika believes in Troy wholeheartedly when he doesn't believe in himself. Troy was crushed in college when he lost his dream of playing professional baseball. When she happens upon him singing in a bar, (Erika is a manager/agent in the music industry) she knows a good voice when she hears one. Just because he happens to be "dipping in her pool" he doesn't want to take advantage, but also has lost the confidence to pursue his dreams. Luckily, Erika has all the confidence for him and knows just where to lead.

On the flip side, when it comes to a relationship, Erika, being a recent divorcee, isn't exactly the most confident on going forth with a relationship with a younger man, especially when her last relationship ended in a crashing disaster. Sure, she loves that Troy is turned on by her, but how long can that last? She's just that much older than him. Won't he want someone his own age at some point? Can she really be everything that he needs when he has a lot of living left to do? Filled with doubt does nothing great for her ego, but luckily Troy really shines in bringing forth Erika's confidence and renewing her glow.

Together these two are a perfect match both in and out of the bedroom, which made this a very enjoyable read and a perfect addition to my overall 2020 must read list!
