Not for me. Wanted to see if I hated age gaps with an older woman as much as I hate them with an older man, and while it’s definitely not as bad, it doesn’t do it for me and I found myself not in the story and head was elsewhere. If age gap is for you, then there’s a scene that I’d say is pretty dirty, but just not for me.

The Pool Boy is the second book in the Nashville Neighbors series. It follows a recent divorcee and her pool boy who also happens to be her best friend(and neighbor’s) son. This book is hot and steamy and all kinds of forbidden.

In addition to sneaking around, this couple has music in common. She works for an agency who’s putting together a showcase to find an opening act for a well known performer. He’s a recent college graduate who’s living in the pool house while working at the gym and helping his step dad's home remodeling company and blowing off steam performing at open mics around town.

While this book starts off hot and heavy(and continues throughout) there is also quite a bit of heart and growth. Each of these characters experienced their own journeys and felt like real people. I wish we got to see a more personal side of the MMC. The prologue explaining the FMC’s origin story was incredibly helpful and I think we would have benefitted from seeing a prologue from him as well.
