Quick and easy read and the story wasn’t anything like what I thought it would be! And I I enjoyed it!
You can bet that Nikki Sloane can write the poo out of a spicy scene. And there were many in this book.
Lots of spice
Nashville music scene
Pool boy
Reverse age gap
Best friends son
Instant attraction

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this book. On one hand I liked how sweet but also steamy the relationship is. While I don't love the fact that they've known each other since he was at least a teen, it didn't feel like he was groomed and she never shows any sort of interest until he is an adult. But honestly none of that could make up for some of the fatphobic rhetoric that is established from the beginning and kept reoccurring.
I liked this one even more than The Doctor! I felt like this story had more depth than the previous. There was such a great professional and personal relationship with these two!
Wow I can't believe I waited so long to read this book! As much as I love the daddies, I also love me some fresh meat. Troy is amazing and the things he said
I love age gap and it was nice to see a older women. As much as I love the pregnancy trope it was really nice not to have the older women rushing to find a partner to have a baby. I think I liked this one better than the first book.

" “Get these off,” I demanded. “Yes, ma’am.” His grin made him look impossibly young and even more attractive."
I'm a sucker for a good ma'am and the pool boy in question ma'am's real good. Not in bed though whew. This age-gap pushed me right to the edge of my comfort level, and was so hot even I found myself a bit uncomfortable reading on my family vacation. But not enough to stop, nope. I wasn't expecting the sort of Nashville-esque musician plot, and I think I liked the part about him becoming her client (not just her pool boy) was the tiny bit that was too much for me. I'm glad it was worked out he wouldn't be, but there were so cringe-y moments there.
I was also uncomfortable that it was her best-friend's son, but that was part of the taboo. The sub-plot of her cheating ex-husband was also a bit squicky.
But dang, there's some good sexy content in here. Yes there is.

I loved this one! I love that it was Troy (who is the younger one) who chose to pursue Erika so it didn't have weird grooming vibes. Troy is also a proper adult (24yrs) and not a fresh teenager out of high school.
I wasn't expecting the music aspect of the plot but I loved it so much! I have a music background and know the (stupid) allure of dang musicians (in the best possible way).
Erika, having walked in on her husband having an affair is living her best life. Feeling her best with a new boob job and in the best shape of her life. I love that for her!
As stated in the book, the stakes weren't as high as in The Doctor, which is fine. It didn't make a difference to me. I did like seeing the cameo of Greg and Cassidy and can see a bigger plot happening throughout the books. I'm intrigued to see what happens next with this.
The world is much more expanded here. We get to see more of the neighborhood and understand more of the community. I'm sure we'll only get more with the next books. I did feel like we could have gotten more depth with Erika's job as an agent, but I understand this was a shorter book and we can't get everything.
The spice was immaculate. I liked it more than book one! This book had a better balance of plot vs spice.
Again, I felt like the ending was rushed. The blow-up and conclusion were resolved relatively quickly with his parents coming around with minimal issues, all things considered. Even the issue with the ex-husband was handled easily. #Adults
I'd 10/10 recommend this one! It's hot, minimal miscommunication (and teenage drama), musicians, and spicy scenes!!
