This book just spoke to me as an overthinker. Even though this book started slow, the ending was absolutely beautiful and was wrapped up so neatly. That completely made up for the slow start.

I’ve learned through this book that there is more than what there is to see. While the person next to you might seem like they have a perfect life, there maybe be some things going on in their life that isn’t all happy and perfect.

I can’t explain how happy this book makes me feel.

I loved this book. I rarely read books outside of romance. This book obviously had some romance in it but that wasn't the main focus like other books I read.
I enjoyed all of the characters and how they interacted. I cried at a lot of the parts! I would 100% recommend this book. I would love to read more of this author and I loved that she explained the inspiration for the book at the end and that allowed for great insight!

A sweet and light read. Not the genre I usually go for, but it was a relaxing book to read

I bought this book in Heathrow coming home, and after floundering about on public transport it seemed very apt to pick this up. Mostly I quite enjoyed it!  Some writing I didn't love, as well as needless body shaming but it's very palatable, optimistic, and predictable, in a nice way. You have to go in with a suspension of disbelief about how entrenched in each other lives these people get, in the end it's a little silly but very sweet. Pooley obviously believes that literally everyone you see has a rich inner life and sees the beauty in the mundane. and I LOVE books written in multiple point of views. I liked that Iona was kind of a mess !! I would love to have a cup of train tea with her.
