I didn't enjoy this book as well as I did [b:Becoming Lady Lockwood|21947381|Becoming Lady Lockwood|Jennifer Moore|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1399607844s/21947381.jpg|41252393]. This one had a lots of great historical details as well, and I was excited that we got to see Sidney's story because he was a great character in the previous book, but the storyline and Emma, just weren't as good. I was a bit bored with the story, even though it's supposed to be tense and suspenseful as the characters are trying to stay hidden from the French armies.

Cute and sweet, and also slightly serious.

DNF. I’ve never read a book where the main character was so unlikable. Yes I got to the part where many of you claimed she was maturing and having character development. I do not agree. She was a spoiled brat and O couldn’t take it anymore. It’s rare I don’t finish a book, but I just couldn’t take it anymore.

I totally liked this better than I thought I would. I love how the author has a lot more danger and surprises than you would expect with a proper romance. This was my second book from Mrs. Moore and I think it lived up to the first one I read. Definitely would recommend!

I loved 'Becoming Lady Lockwood' which this is a sequel to (although I read book #3 before this). This was fun, a lot of adventure. Perfect!

I am becoming a fan of Jennifer Moore. I really liked this one. She does an amazing job letting me vicariously visit a battlefield in Spain in 1811 and giving me a glimpse of what it may have been like. I'm afraid my reaction would have been a lot like Lady Emma's. Can't wait for Ms. Moore's next book!

I love this author! This regency romance is unlike most out there. It's a clean romance that takes place mainly in Spain during the Napoleonic Wars. Emma has known Sidney since her childhood and has fallen in love with him. When she hears that he has been captured in Spain, she stows away on her brother's ship to go find him. Both Emma and Sidney suffer from the horrific things they have experienced and suffered. Sidney begins to see Emma in a new light and not just his best friend's little sister as they try to escape from the Spanish and French. Once I got into the story, it was hard to put down. I'm excited to read more by this author.

Sped through this novel in one day, simply because I couldn't put it down! I love Moore's novels and am definitely going to read all of them eventually! Her romances are clean, witty, and historically accurate. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read!

Loved this! A great Regency story with elements of romance, action, danger, etc. It was fun to see some of the characters from Becoming Lady Lockwood again, but I especially loved Emma and Sidney. I loved the growth Emma experienced and how much she had changed by the end of the story.
