Great story
It isn't a long story, but it is packed with so much. The story itself is straight-forward but the character development is off the charts. We learn so much about the two protagonists in a short length of time, through wonderful and true-to-life dialogue, as well as some nice flashbacks.
It moves at a quick pace - as you'd expect for a story of this length - but it never feels rushed. Losack uses evocative and gritty language to create a compelling tale of crime and brotherly love. And told from the perspective of the narrator, but as though he is speaking directly to his brother, is done brilliantly and works well for this kind of story.

I’m impressed by how quickly this book moves, but is still able to pack an emotional punch. Losack has built an authentic and engaging relationship between two twin brothers by utilizing the space between the words. Dude’s a wizard with words! If you want a quick, compelling shot of adrenaline, check out this book.
