Wth I expected more from Xander tbh since the he was pretty good in the first book. The chemistry between the MC's felt a bit flat too. Sigh.
Side note: My brain also stopped functioning when he compared her desired rhythm to that of a vibrator with 36 patterns.

This one was slightly better than the first in the series in terms of the story. The writing style was still okay, and the characters were built well and, for the most part, pretty likable.

I really enjoyed this one! Xander is a former Seal and Bodyguard who is asked by a friend to be a bodyguard for his country Star sister. Kelly is wanting a break and doesn’t want a bodyguard. They butt heads at first but they come around to liking each other. I think the element of suspense was missing for me! I like a body guard romance to have a threat and this one really didn’t. He definitely fell first and there was no third act break up! The spice was
