This book was better than I could have expected.
Nora and Charlie’s story was such a refreshing take and I wouldn’t have changed anything about them if I could.

Nora is such a complex character and goes against the typical female protagonist mold of many romcom narratives. She’s different than most and it’s refreshing to see into the mind of a character like her. Her quirks and tendencies make her such a relatable character (especially her penchant for wearing impractical shoes) and I found myself connecting with her on a level I didn’t expect to.

I especially loved Charlie as a character, and Henry’s ability to branch outside of the typical male love interest stereotype. Charlie’s inability to be socially acceptable in his tendencies made him that much more endearing. His nerdy personality and awkward quirks made me love him more than any typical male stereotype love interest.

The relationship between Nora and Libby was a big part that made the story so much more compelling and entertaining. The two of them are vastly different but they work so well together and I loved seeing the relationship between them bloom and grow throughout the story.

Charlie and Nora are both so similar, yet so different and it makes for such an enjoyable experience. The banter between these two was so good. They’re a true example of how first impressions can have a profound impact on how people perceive each other. The tension between them is so evident and makes for some unexpected, yet hilarious moments in the story that make it even better.

If you’re looking for a not so typical romcom, this is the book for you!
