A really impressive novel - fast paced, exciting, intelligent, and (importantly) fun adventure. It packs so many imaginative and thought provoking ideas into its 200 pages. When I found myself in a back-alley bar, watching a lion and a dragon wrestling surrounded by naked, bejewelled patrons, and it was only chapter 3, I knew I was in for a great read.

Another exercise in imagination. Reading Delany is like working out your brain

Pompous drivel. I understand the power of language and how we might be able to better express ourselves in one language over another. This book leans into that but takes us on a nonsensical journey where the simplest situation has to be said in the most convoluted way.
