Je suis très partagé sur ce livre. J'ai beaucoup aimé l'histoire, les personnages, le style d'écriture. Mais étant donné qu'on apprend la fin dès le début, et globalement ce qu'il se passe, tout semble très lent et long, parce qu'on n'apprend que des détails de ce qu'on sait déjà. J'ai donc trouvé la premiere moitié trop longue, et ne me donnait pas envie de lire la suite. J'ai quand même trouvé l'histoire très belle !

An eerie and atmospheric novel, It's one of those stories that stays with you. However, I do not recommend it to people who don't like slow-paced books.

Four hundred pages of "what did I just waste my time reading". Interesting premise, a family where women get married then die but it never tells you why. The whole book is about ghosts, feminism, a rhetoric against men, lesbianism. All I wanted to know at the end was why did they die?
