I could not get through this book at all. Personally I felt that there were a lot of characters involved, but not enough story to relate this characters to the story. Although I now understand that the story invloves hope, when life is hard in so many differnt ways, there are ways to get through it with a little hope. I felt it was all a little cheesy and not a whole lot of point to the story. I would say it is a relaxed read, but I tend to gravitate to books that are page-turning and I get lost in the story. Unfortunetly with this book, I did not enjoy the relaxed style of this book.

This book almost reads as a collection of essays about everyday life, with the theme of grief and loss running through the intertwined stories. It is beautifully, quietly written and the emotions that carry through each story shine through as you get to know each character. And the miracle of this book is that it will break your heart but also affirm the absolute beauty of life at the same time.
I really liked this book most of the time and loved it some of the time. It was tender, melancholy, heavy, and light. It broke my heart a little, but it also gave me that little bit of hope.
Overall enjoyed the story but there are so many characters, it's hard to really connect with them.
This book was alright. I did like how it was written with each chapter being the point of view of a different character. I like that they were all connected. The stories were really sad! The characters had a lot of development. Overall, just a decent book with good stories!

This was a didn’t love but didn’t hate for me. I love a story that ties different characters into each others lives without the characters even realizing they are all connected. This content was heavy, but overall it was a good story.

A quick, entertaining read about a small community with overlapping characters & multiple POVs. I enjoyed hearing about various storylines from various characters so you got a fuller sense of what was actually going on. There was no big gotcha or twists, just a little story about a few years in all of their lives.
It was good but it was also a few too many characters for me. You’d meet someone then not hear from them again for multiple chapters & I’d forget who they were or how they were involved. If you don’t have ADHD though you might love this one 😉
