Both incredibly sweet and completely tear jerking. Filled with small town vibes and written in a beautiful way that has each chapter focusing on a character that then seamlessly blends into someone new, this book was like a hug filled with emotion.
This was an enjoyable read, but I couldn’t believe it when I got to the end… it definitely needed about 100 more pages to be able to say that this collection of stories had a plot. I loved how all the characters got their own chapter and they were all somehow connected, but the story as a whole never connected and I feel like I’m missing something.
I LOVED THIS BOOK! The book is so true to life and real. I think anyone who reads this book would get something out of it.

I thought I would enjoy this based on the synopsis but I didn't connect with any of the characters and the book jumping from different characters in each chapter lost me. Even up to the end I would completely forget who the character was when they came back around in a later chapter. I've went through some similar struggles as some of the characters and I didn't think the book really captured or developed those emotions well enough for the reader.

I don't think this book will stay with me for very long but I did really enjoy it in the moment. It's a quick, easy read and I liked the way it bounced between a small group of interconnected characters, all dealing with loss and grief in same way. The only part that really stuck out for me though was when Luke had a passing thought that his girlfriend would be beautiful if she didn't have the tips of her hair dyed pink. Followed up by her ending bit where the author made a point of mentioning that she had chopped off those tips and her hair was all the same color now. Hey, fuck you, Luke. Knowing that he dies, I guess I should feel bad for that thought but also, fuck you, Luke. She's beautiful no matter how many colors her hair is, Luke, you dead dick. Take this nice girl home to meet your mother and stop being so condescending towards her. Also don't die in a car accident because it really bums everybody out.
