wow.

just wow.

idek where to start.

this was so so so harrowing and beautifully written, i simply couldn’t put it down. every page brought so much thought and emotion, i choked up so many times when reading.

the cover is so gorgeous and it was an easy read despite the heavy topic due to the shorter chapters, and yet so much was said in such a small space.

will deffo be revising this simply for how gorgeously written it was

Such an unusual book. The style of writing is captivating. Being written in the second person makes the reader feel part of the narrative, like you are suffering as the main character is suffering. You are considering your own relationship with your body.

It is a very difficult topic to read about, but the personal nature of it and the exploration of what makes a woman a woman, is uniquely and poetically put across. The reflections on childhood I actually felt unnecessary and were the only points where I felt taken out of the narrative. I liked the dreams, and thinking about how they could be interpreted.

A short but mighty book, though harrowing.

A little book with a lot of power. This was absolutely beautiful as well as incredibly harrowing. Possibly one of my favourite books so far of this year.
