AMAZING! AWESOME! SO PERFECT!

"The Shadowhunter's Codex" by Cassandra Clare is a novel for new Shadowhunter's about their new world with notes and art from Jace, Clary, and Simon.

I would give "The Shadowhunter's Codex" by Cassandra Clare a 5-star review because, 1; I liked how it went into more details of the shadow world 2; I liked the art in the books 3; I liked Simon's notes 4; overall it was enjoyable for my first Clare novel.

The written commentary by the characters was the best part of this

This was enjoyable
it did read very much like a textbook...because it is one.
It was a nice little extra in the shadow hunter world...I don't think i needed to read it but I'm trying to finish a personal goal of reading every shadowhunter book.

This does not need to be read in order to understand the series but it is helpful.

It was a light read, but sometimes I felt it tedious.
I expected more cool information about the world building.

Ok, first of all, I think this is a book only for hardcore fans of the mortal instruments (my humble opinion), I consider myself one so there's that😁.

Having said that, I enjoyed reading the codex very much. It made me feel like I was really preparing to Ascend.

I laughed out loud with the notes made on the side of the pages and I really admired the drawings as well.

I liked going deeper in the history of the Nephilim and filling the gaps with facts that maybe the books don't give.

Very interesting, much better than the essay anthology. I really liked the comments added by the characters, most of it was very funny. I LOVED seeing all of the artwork by Cassandra Jean, she is so talented.

It was fun to read! The runes were the best part for sure!

Funnier than i thought it would be
It has notes from Clary, Jace and Simon which are hilarious!!!
However, the information that it has was already mentioned in the mortal instruments and the infernal devices so that was sort of boring...
