Delightful and heartwarming! Dickens is a master in using a lighthearted tone and hilarious, at times, sarcasm to convey strong messages about serious and dark issues.

This was my first time reading this but definitely not my first experience with the iconic tale.

Honestly, I really appreciate how the Mickey Mouse film managed to convey much of the same feelings the book did. It seemed far longer as a child but I looked it up and it’s only 26 minutes.

“A Christmas carol” is definitely the heartwarming story everyone always said it would be but I kind of wish it was a little longer. I would have liked to have seen Scrooge and his nephew’s relationship grow though i know that half of the beauty in this story is how much it does in a considerably short amount of time.

More than anything it made me want to rewatch the Disney film to see how well it holds up now that I’m older.

This short book is a reminder of how great literature can be, how long it has been a part of humanity, and how significant the choices of our lives are.

I read this every year at Christmastime, and I notice something new every single year! This is one of my favorite ghost stories of all time. A perfect cautionary tale with a very happy ending. Keep Christmas all year round with this undeniable classic.

I’m always surprised at the humor in a Charles Dickens story. Read by Jim Dale and he was perfect.
