Review of the whole series:
Cute and heartwarming coming of age story. I think this is a comic i can recommend to a lot of people. The moms point of view, having a parner whos views are not the same as yours, trying to figure out your sexuality while being young... Really important topics.

Koko sarjan arvostelu:
Suloinen ja sydäntä lämmittävä nuoruuden tarina.Tämä on sarjakuva, jota voin suositella monille. Äidin näkökulma, kumppani jonka näkemykset eivät ole samoja kuin sinun, nuorena oman seksuaalisuuden selvittäminen.... Todella tärkeitä aiheita.

I love how it defies gender roles. It portrays homophobia while tackling the romanticization of gay relationships and stereotypes of gay men.

Still, the general vibes are super wholesome. I just wish Mom wasn't as soft and intervened on her husband's homophobic remarks.

I adored reading this book. It's been a while since I read the first two volumes, but reading this series always feels like a breath of fresh air. I wish I had this when I was a teen. I love the mom and how she observes her sons in such a loving and honest way, even when she's unsure of what to do in certain situations. I love how she defends them when the clueless (and homophobic) father starts making comments at home that could hurt her children. (I don't think this is a spoiler since it's on the back cover of the book.)

This book is just so wholesome and full of love, but also honest about the realities of growing up gay in an environment where you feel you have to hide who you really are.

My favorite volume of this so far. I feel like the story and characters are all showing real growth at this point. Less repetitive than first volume especially. It’s matured into something I really love, while maintaining that sense of hope and lightness.

This series is slowly but surely becoming my favourite manga (I’ve not read many, but when I have I fall in love every time so this is a big compliment) 🥹 Tomoko just trying to support her son by speaking to her colleague and by (trying to) tell Akiyoshi off was so sweet ❤️ I want all of my friends to read these manga 🏳️‍🌈
