The story of the mage who breaks the staff and walks away.
I really liked the handling of Prospero. It is not as quote right as other plays by him but still a treat to read.

I think I liked this the most of all the Shakespearean plays I read. Reading it was tricky, as English is not my native language, and I'm not sure what possessed me to try. Regardless, for me, it seemed the most unique of all his other works. I liked how the characters' situations were mirrored, such as Caliban, once the king of an island, who was subdued by Prospero, the king, who was once subdued himself. I also didn't expect the ending, the final decision. It was refreshing in its own way. I would definitely recommend reading!

i've read this before but it was a long time ago so its nice to reread. maybe one of my favorites of the shakespeare i've read? the ending of this is so weird tonally but it works
