Loved it, felt inspired to finally read Nim’s biography after reading Breathless. I’ve always loved the mountains and been obsessed with Everest. I followed Nims story on social media when he was undertaking project possible and loved hearing about his achievements. So reading this book was a great reminder of those times and I really enjoyed reading about how he achieved the impossible. He is such an inspiration and I find it really motivating to read stories like his. A must read for an mountain/ adventure enthusiast. Now to get planning some adventures of my own, albeit on a slightly smaller scale.

Nims is an inspiration to anyone who has a goal to achieve but this book was lacking something for me. As other reviews I've read have mentioned it felt like a bit of an ego trip at times but I agree that he deserves to have an ego after all he has achieved.
He talks a lot about how he wasn't doing any of this for himself but I think he maybe said it one too many times because honestly I was wondering who he was trying to convince. I have a lot of complicated feelings about this book, it maybe could have done with a lot more time in the editing room. He isn't a writer by profession and it shows but he has a lot of interesting things to say.
I loved the documentary made on the same topic and that definitely shows his true personality and passion for the mission more than the book does.
I probably wouldn't recommend this book to a friend. The Girl Who Climbed Everest would be my recommendation as it is much more focused on the climb. But I would recommend that people follow him on Instagram and watch the documentary. What he has done for the Sherpa community is outstanding!
