[EN] Reigniting my love for geology and nature documentaries, falling in love with non-fiction.
[PL] Ponownie rozpalam swoją miłość do geologii i dokumentów o naturze, zakochuję się w literaturze faktu.

This is a fantastic read for anyone interested in paleontology and geology outside of popular fossil discoveries, like dinosaurs. It's a great companion to Brusatte's other book, the Rise and Fall of the dinosaurs. I read them back to back and actually enjoyed his mammal boom even more than his dinosaur book. I wish this book was able get into even more detail in regards to the timeline of mammal evolution through deep time, but then it would probably morph into a text book. Excellent read!

I thought this would be more gripping, but for me there was too much scientific jargon & I got lost. The smooth narration, reading what was essentially a foreign language, was often lulling me to sleep. That might be great in some circumstances but as I listen to audio books while driving, it was not ideal. Also, the narrator pronounced niche as nitch and it made my ears bleed.
