This was an amazing book and it made me think of things in ways I would have never thought of on my own. Tock was my favorite character because of the commitment to his job and his loving personality, as long as you didn't waste time.

What an amusing read!! I loved it. Clever! Almost every sentence has a wordplay and the playitself will definitely cheer you up. Recommended. :)

3.5 - I think it's a bit too on the nose for an adult, but it's a cute story overall. I'm sure just about any child would enjoy it well enough.

This is great for fans of Alice in wonderland and the wizard of oz who enjoyed an absolutely absurd journey through a bonkers land. This book leans heavily into the word play, like imagine if Alice went through wonderland and every character was a variation of the mad hatter. It was all stuff and nonsense, very clever word play at times but also utterly ridiculous. If that sounds like something you would enjoy jump

I heard so many wonderful things about this book, that I suppose I was bound to be disappointed. I think it would be helpful for adult readers to know that this is in the style of Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz, though, in my opinion, it's not as good as either of those classics. I tired of listening to this pretty quickly, but my children (10, 8, and 7) very much enjoyed it. Actor Rainn Wilson performed the audiobook and he did a good job.
