Buku ini kayaknya bakal jadi favoritku dari buku2 SM yang udah kubaca, deh. Topiknya agak berat dan kuakui, konfliknya lebih ngena di sini. Tambahan pov Mack juga keputusan tepat karena butuh banget pendapat anak remaja di tengah2 pov wanita dewasa.
Satu hal yang agak kurang disorot menurutku, konflik gabungan antara kakak-beradik Steward masih kurang. Atau malah nggak ada, ya? Kebanyakan bahas soal masalah Jenna aja atau Lauren aja, atau bahkan Nancy. Kupikir bakal banyak kesalahpahaman atau apa antara Lauren dan Jenna, tapi aman2 aja ternyata.
Buku ini berhasil bikin gregetan.

This book is marketed as focused on familial/platonic relationships, but romance still plays a huge aspect, in a rough 50/50 ratio. Sometimes the writing is on the nose, or the characters a bit too self aware, but they're all loveable and it was still enjoyable. When comparing the author's works, I preferred "snowed in for christmas", because while it was equally cheesy, it worked with the concept. I really liked one of the characters in this book, as her anxious tendencies are relatable and refreshing, especially as she makes progress with them.

If you're a fan of Elin Hilderbrand, you'll love this book. I have greatly enjoyed other of Sarah Morgan's books, and enjoyed this one more!

I thought it was boring at first. I was forcing myself to read the first 150 pages. Then it got interesting. So many secrets between mother and daughters. It was emotional, realistic and captivating. It is a solid 4 stars read ❤️
