Really witty dialogue, pacing, great characters, a strong feminist message. I didn’t love it as much as Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow (my previous read from the same author) but loved it as a fresh take and a new perspective on the idea of political scandal and how women are often blamed for powerful men’s mistakes.

I was blown away by how much I love this book! This book reminded me why I love books about women that are written by women! Every main character is a woman, and each one is well-rounded and fully fleshed out. They're allowed to be messy and have confusing inner lives. They have hopes and fears. They fall into and out of love. They make their own choices on their own terms. They feel so real, which is extremely refreshing!
